Event helps entrepreneurs exploit intellectual property

UK experts gathered in Leicester on 25th September to give inventors and entrepreneurs the chance to learn how to protect their ideas and generate income.
The 'Innovation Exploitation' event was led by ProspectIP, a De Montfort University initiative, in partnership with the UK Intellectual Property Office and The British Library.
Delegates gained knowledge of all aspects of intellectual property (IP) including copyright, trade marks and procurement.
Experts from the UK Intellectual Property Office will led a workshop on patents, other IP protection and enforcement of IP right while two sessions led by The British Library focused on finding a market for an idea and identifying contacts to gain orders.
One-to-one legal advice sessions (supported by East Midlands firms Berryman, Harvey Ingram and Marks & Clerk) were also be available on the day.
