New Trade Mark Fee & Service

As of the 1st October 2009 businesses will be able to register trade marks cheaper and quicker thanks to the Intellectual Property Office proposed new fees and services.
E-Filing Applications
Trade mark applications made through the online application form will qualify for a £30.00 discount where full payment is made at the time of filing.
Right Start Service
A Right Start application allows businesses to defer half the usual application fee until they have received the Intellectual Property Office report. The IPO report will advise if the application meets the requirements for registration, if the business decides to proceed with the application payment of the balance is required within 14 days of the date of the report.
All Right Start Applications must be filed via the e-filing route.
