Green patent database launched

A new database of green inventions to help the development of environmentally-friendly technology has been launched by Intellectual Property Minister Baroness Wilcox.
The Intellectual Property Office unveiled the database to coincide with World Environment Day giving businesses an easily-accessible database of green ideas and inventions. Firms will be able to build on these ideas to produce further innovations.
The initiative highlights the Government’s commitment to ensuring this country is at the forefront of developing new technology and industries that benefit the environment.
